Your signed rental agreement is the contract between you and B.S. Park and Storage. This page summarizes it; if the two ever differ, the rental agreement applies.
Rent and payments
- Rent is due in advance on your billing day each period (monthly, or the period in your rental agreement). Your bill is posted to your account a few days before it is due, and you can pay all or part of it early.
- You can pay online by card, set up automatic payments (autopay), or pay at the office. Autopay is optional: when it is on, whatever is still unpaid on each due date is charged to your card on file. You can turn it off or change your card at any time in your account.
- Rent not received within 10 days of the due date is late, and a late fee of $20.00 is added. Another late fee is added each month, on the same day, until the balance is paid in full; a partial payment does not stop it. A $35 fee applies to any returned check.
- Online card payments are processed by Stripe. Card numbers are entered into Stripe's secure form and are never stored on our servers. You receive an emailed receipt for every payment.
- Unpaid balances can lead to loss of gate access and, under California's Self-Service Storage Facility Act (Business and Professions Code section 21700 and following), a lien on stored property.
Moving out and cancelling
You can end your rental at any time with ten (10) days' notice. Call us at (530) 966-0437 to give notice and again when your unit is cleaned out, so we can inspect it and arrange the return of the lock and key. Rent continues until the unit is empty, clean, inspected and the lock and key are returned. If no notice is given, rent continues to be charged. Turn off autopay in your account once your final balance is settled, or ask us to.
Refunds
- Rent is charged for whole billing periods and is not prorated or refunded for part of a period after you move out.
- If your rental ends before the end of a period you paid for in advance, the rent for the whole months remaining after your move-out date is refunded.
- Security deposits are non-refundable.
- If you were charged in error, contact us and we will refund the charge.
- Card refunds go back to the card that was charged and usually appear within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.

Privacy policy
What we collect
- Account and rental details: your name, email, phone number, mailing address, emergency contact, the units you rent, and your lease and payment history.
- Identification: your Social Security number, driver's license number and date of birth, collected when you rent. California storage law relies on accurate occupant information for required notices and lien procedures. Social Security and license numbers are encrypted when stored and only facility staff can view them.
- Payment cards: entered directly into Stripe's form. We never receive or store full card numbers; we keep only the card brand, last four digits and expiry date so you can see which card is on file.
- Technical information: a cookie that keeps you signed in, and the IP address and browser of sign-ins and account changes, kept for security. If a page fails to work in your browser, it sends us a short error report (the page, the error, and your account number if you are signed in) so we can fix the problem; these reports and our server logs are kept only briefly. We use no advertising or analytics trackers. The map on our home page is provided by Google, which may set its own cookies under Google's privacy policy.
How we use it
To run your rental: billing, receipts and reminders, legally required notices, gate access, answering your questions, preventing fraud and keeping accounts secure, and meeting our legal obligations.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the facility (Stripe for payments, our email provider to send email, and our hosting provider), with your emergency contact if we cannot reach you about your unit, and when the law requires it or to enforce the rental agreement, including lien procedures.
How long we keep it
For as long as you rent with us, and afterwards for as long as we need it for our records and to meet legal and tax requirements.
Your choices
You can see and update your contact details in your account at any time. To ask for a copy of your information, or to correct or delete it, contact us; we will do so unless we need to keep it for an active rental or a legal reason. You can turn on two-factor sign-in in the Sign-in section of your account.
Security
The site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), sensitive identification numbers are encrypted at rest, and only facility staff can access customer records.
Children
Renters must be 18 or older. This site is not intended for children.
Changes
If this policy changes we will post the new version here with its date.
